Effective September 2023, the procedure for issuing emergency passports will revert to its standard protocol, with these documents having a validity of one year.

Convenient Access Points Nationwide for Emergency Passport Issuance in Israel

Emergency passports will be available for issuance in 17 offices across the country, as well as at the National Population Administration. These locations include Eilat, Ashdod, Beer Sheva, Bnei Brak, Haifa, East Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Kfar Saba, Nof HaGalil, Netanya, Afula, Petah Tikva, Safed, Kiryot, Rishon Lezion, Ramla, and both Tel Aviv branches.

Key Points to Note:

  • Emergency passports will have a one-year validity.
  • For individuals who currently hold a passport with a two-year validity, there will be no change, and it will remain valid for its original duration.
  • An emergency passport will only be issued following the issuance of a biometric passport.
  • Before seeking an emergency passport, an appointment must be scheduled at one of the aforementioned bureaus.
  • Passports will not be immediately available; there will be a processing time of up to a week from the date of submission.
