Bahrain’s national airline Gulf Air announced this week that it will begin offering direct flights between Bahrain and Tel Aviv on June 3. Gulf Air signed a code-sharing agreement with El Al, Israel’s national carrier in December 2020.
Israelis traveling to Bahrain and Bahrainis traveling to Israel will no longer have to contend with quarantine requirements if they are vaccinated against COVID-19 and have a “green passport” to prove it.
Israel signed the Abraham Accords agreements with Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates last year.
