The Ministry of Interior has announced an extension of the submission deadline for foreign employees in the non-expert category within the Industry sector.

Originally set for March 21, 2024, the submission deadline was subsequently extended to March 31, 2024. Now, we are pleased to inform you that the deadline has been further extended until April 14, 2024. For employers who have already received a recommendation from the Ministry of Economy and Welfare, the new deadline for submitting the work permit applications is now April 14, 2024. Beyond this date, the Ministry of Interior will not accept any further applications for work permits in this category.

Importance of Permit Expiry Date

Furthermore, it is imperative for employers who have obtained employment permits to be aware of the expiration date stipulated within the permit. As per Section 11 of the permit, if a company fails to utilize the permit within 90 days of issuance, it will expire. Consequently, the company will be unable to employ the foreign workers specified in the permit.
