Recently USCIS announced that in an effort to speed up processing times for employment authorization documents for green card applicants filing adjustment of status applications, they would no longer process the employment authorization together with the advanced parole.
The Combo Cards combined employment authorization document and advanced parole (allowing travel while a green card application is pending). They used to come together in one card.
This means that clients will receive two separate documents- one authorizing work and the other allowing for international travel, at separate times. In practice, KTA has seen that the employment authorization documentation is coming months before the advanced parole documents.
Please see AILA’s flyer describing the change for more information.
