Saudi Arabia has decided to allow flights from Israel to cross Saudi airspace. This will significantly cut the flight times to Asia. Flights to Asia from Israel had so far needed to avoid flying above Saudi Arabia the Arabian Peninsula as a consequence of the kingdom’s non-recognition of Israel.

As a result of the decision, flights departing from Israel will now be able to follow the shortest route to Asia, not needing to avoid the Saudi airspace.

Flights from Israel to Thailand will now tak8e  hours instead of 10 and flights from Israel to Mumbai should take 5-6.5 hours instead of 7.5 hours today.
