According to agreements signed with, ‘Otzma Yehudit’ and the ‘Religious Zionism’, the new government will act, inter alia, to renew the discussions with foreign governments regarding the accepting back the asylum seekers (referred to by those parties as ‘job seekers’ rather than asylum seekers), in order to promote the deportation of those immigrants from Israel.

The new government also will promote enacting a law that will require a deposit to be made of 20% of salary to a government fund, to be returned to the asylum seekers upon departure from Israel. According to the coalition agreements, the intention behind this initiative is to encourage asylum seekers to go back to their home countries. In 2020, the Israeli High Court of Justice overruled a similar law on the grounds that it was unconstitutional.

The coalition agreements between the Likud and religious Zionism and Jewish Power stipulate that the new government will promote the enacting of the proposed Basic Law: Immigration while renewing the deportation efforts of asylum seekers and migrants.

In addition, the agreement with ‘Otzma Yehudit’ also indicates that the government will promote a plan to rehabilitate neighborhoods “damaged by the invasion of infiltrators and illegal immigrants.”
