Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has predicted that Israel will experience a significant increase in Aliyah (immigration) from Western countries, particularly the United States. In a recent cabinet meeting, Netanyahu cited Israel’s potential entry into the US Visa Waiver Program and the country’s growing economy as major factors that will attract Jewish American immigrants.
“Israel’s economy is getting stronger; we will outpace the United States, and we have already outpaced Europe,” Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu also mentioned that events could unfold similarly to when he liberalized Israel’s foreign currency market in the 1990s, which resulted in an influx of foreign currency into the country.
Overall, Netanyahu’s prediction of an increase in Aliyah from Western countries, including the US, is an exciting prospect for the Jewish community, as it opens up new possibilities for those considering making Israel their home. The strengthening economy in Israel is a major draw for immigrants, whether they are seeking job opportunities or a high standard of living.
