Due to the COVID-19 shutdown, the Ministry of Interior has advised that the following visa type holders, expiring on September 24, 2020, will be automatically extended until November 30, 2020:
- A-1 visa holders (Checking Aliyah)
- A-2 Students
- A-3 Religious Workers
- A-4 (Dependents of A-2 and A-3 visa holders)
- A-5 (Temporary resident) This visa is provided for spouses of Israeli national during the “step by step process” to obtain legal status in Israel for boyfriend/girlfriend or married to an Israel. Not that this visa can also be provided for same-sex partners or through Aliyah.
- B-1 General (not to confuse with B-1 applied by the employer like experts, health workers, construction, etc. – there were not automatically extended). This visa is provided for spouses of Israeli national during the “step by step process” to obtain legal status in Israel for boyfriend/girlfriend or married to an Israel. Not that this visa can also be provided for same-sex partners.
- B-4 volunteers.
Kan-Tor & Acco Recommendations
Holders of these visas do not need to extend the visa if expired until November 30. We recommend printing and keeping the below announcement together with the passport (Only Hebrew notification made)
